Dread is the ultimate 'player skill' game. The horror is palpable, and it directly affects your chances.

Trail of Cthulhu lets you play capable investigators. You WILL get the puzzle pieces, no missed parts because of a failed roll.

Running games in them is only impossible, because they pay less than minimum wage for this.

No, I don't. In my country, game stores specialize on traditional board games, and they almost don't import TTRPGs. We have some number of translated ones, but I'm not in the market for translations. Playing in these stores is almost impossible, they only run what they parent company translates.

Case in hand: I don't have a TV so I'm using a capture card to play my Switch. Sound goes by 3.5 mm cable from the capture card to my PC's line in, and it gives an audible whine. I thought OBS's noise cancellation would help me, but it instead makes everything sound BADLY compressed.

Turns out, noise suppression in OBS sucks so much I'd better listen to line in whine then the extra compressed shit it gives me.

gave up on level 19. i wonder if it's my brightness settings -- i prefer very dim screens so my eyes won't get tired as fast.

gave up, reinstalled clair obscur, started act 3 on a story mode.

How do you play the game with a heavy meta baggage in your head from being a GM?

Masks has the BEST GM chapter I've ever seen. Not one game comes close to it in that regard.

Both of these players can learn the skill of playing with metagame and lessen the workload on you, but instead you opt to just close this information from them 🤷‍♀️

What do YOU do when you are a player? You obviously know a lot from being a GM.

counterargument: metagaming is good and community will benefit if more people will learn to work with it instead of safeguarding information from players by default.

so 'retweet' and 'repost' are the same thing, because you effectively repost someone else's (or yours!) earlier post. tweets are posts too.

uuuuh, i don't get it. for the past 20+ years, repost meant doing a copy of another post; either yours or someone else's. it dates at least to livejournal.
'reposting art' seems like a more recent thing.

The whole plot of Fate is Emiya telling people 'yes, i swear i won't do it ever' and once he's alone he's like 'but i can't just do nothing, so i'll do this obviously dangerous thing i promised not to do'

Had a bad ITG set followed by a good tonkatsu curry rice. So overall I'd consider this a win.

Finished Spider-Man Remastered with 76 out of 78 achievements, because who the fuck has time to replay games on Ultimate difficulty.

I liked the story, I liked the characters, I'm torn on the gameplay, and there enemy bases and escalating difficulty made me love the game way less.
