Filtering enzyme solution for in vitro degradation test for our biomaterials.
Whatever I write genuinely is now detected as AI writing by AI detector.
Help me. This may be AI.
Our 3D cell culture system is now used for physiological degradation test with enzymes under interstitial fluid flow. Very useful for biomaterial research and mechanotransduction.
The reason for the samples being held was because a piece of paper we attached outside the box should be attached inside the box.
The world must be sickβ¦
Spent 3 weeks to prepare samples and sent to my partner in Cambridge. Got informed that my samples did not go through Norwegian custom or airport security and them asking for additional document while not specifying what document they needed nor answering any reason.
It is an insultβ¦.
The manufacturer protocol is not always the best.
The kit claims that they omit some of laborious steps and shorten the protocol thanks to their advanced technology.
After spending 2 months, I found that the βsome of laborious stepsβ were indeed abusolutely needed to properly get resultsβ¦
Some massive analysis upcoming.
In a school event I talked a bit about gene editing.
The first question I got
- Can you change my gene to become taller?
I do enjoy clinics though. Still much engaged in clinics in JP. The competitiveness as a dentist is outrageous, but standard of dental treatment is the best.
I donβt know why dental research in JP is almost all dead, with only a few among 29 manage to prosper. Sad fact.
My dental education, which I am sure was really the world class, was supported by gov subsidies - meaning tax payers partly paid.
If I worked abroad as dentist, I would feel a sense of betrayal. New knowledge can fly over while my composite filling done abroad not.
So I do research or leave.
I often asked this question if I want to do clinical practice in foreign nations.
I answer No always. If I do clinic, I have no hesitation going back home.
Here is answer β

Why? Please visit Bergen. I warmly welcome youβ¦
I always think it will be nice to do a meet up at a conference or so - I just say, in case anyone will join, that I will attend:
ISSCR in Hong Kong
IADR in Barcelona
Suggest me what to attend more so I may secure the budget.
I receive quite a few DM on Instagram but can only reply or response to some.
I think, I like more open talk and so BS would be suitable.
Iβm not sure if this will take over X for example but what do you think!
Thank you for this suggestion! I definitely and frequently check that!
Good morning all!
I support the idea of decentralised social media so will see if the platform can fit our academic yet fun communication tool.
Here I will be posting more casually than LinkedIn but more frequently than Instagram :)
Scientific communication is indeed making a societal impact. We have successfully launched a microscopic art exhibition at the Natural History Museum at the University Museum in Bergen.
It will run until mid May - please join!
