Friday night treat.
A bit of sunshine this week. #Comma butterfly loving a #daffodil under the warm meteorological #spring sunshine
Thanks so much, C βΊοΈ
Much deserved! I'm looking forward to reading all three books.
For sure, and hats off to you too, Paul; exciting news today. π
As much as I come & go from here (a few weeks on, a few weeks off to recharge) there are poets whose work I greatly admire & am so glad to have found. This is one of them. He's brilliant, as many know from his compelling #PoemsAbout everything under the sun.

This poem is π. Lord forgive us our disordered desires. Too often what we call love is rooted in attachment & the false-self. Let go & let mercy find you.
I say this while actively trying to define new poetry goals (therefore, wrestling with desire). I'm trying to hold the goals incredibly lightly.
I don't even know what to say, other than that I am reading the posts πππ
A quiet nudge for the week ahead.
#WednesdayWIPs is coming up.
A space to share what youβre working on β or how itβs going.
A line. A paragraph. A struggle. A pause.
No polish required.
Progress counts.
Care is reciprocal here.

Damn! Yes, it might be literal but it resonates on other levels. They always wreak havoc under the cover of night and we are left with the mess upon waking.
Oh dear. Yep, that's going to be me at 6 AM (minus the dog) since I'm awake right now.
I know which one this is. Solidarity β
...power, wealth, and reputation over human dignity?
I'm one person. With little resources and reach. Any attempt to still be a choice for good just doesn't seem like enough in the face of everything happening.
You're right, there's always the risk of somnolence so that no change happens. Staying awake to the world!
Love this, well done. Makes complete sense!
Delightfully written π
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed."
-Dwight D. Eisenhower, 1953
If only...
Yes, this is the world we all want and should have. A lovely gem of a poem.
Thank you, Debbie, the same to you. Been meaning to tell you, the pieces you've written about caring for your mum brought me a lot of comfort while I was doing the same for a parent. I also appreciated the poems about your father. Hope you know the impact of your words as they lend people strength.
Liz Berry!! Wow, exciting news, congratulations! π₯³ Looks like a great magazine too.
Beautiful.
A collage of close-up photographs showing early spring budburst on trees and shrubs. Swollen pink and red buds, fresh green leaf shoots, unfurling scales, and pale catkins are shown against soft blurred backgrounds, illustrating sap rising and plants coming back into life in March.
Marchβs full moon, rising on 3rd March, is called the Worm Moon or the Sap Moon. As the soil warms, earthworms emerge, and plants stir as sap rises and buds begin to unfurl. This yearβs March Moon is especially notable as it coincides with a total lunar eclipse in the night sky.
It was wonderful, I really enjoyed it, especially since we still have heavy snow here. I think Iβm going back to quiet blogging this week. π
Migraine stopped play yesterday, but Iβve been up early writing this weekβs blog post. Join me for a spot of Spring

I canβt even imagine how unsettling it must be. Iβll follow you now so Iβll be sure to see your future posts.
I just found a used copy online & I'm going to read it then pass it along to my mother. Her cousin lives in Japan - he's a linguistics professor who teaches 'World Englishes.' I don't know him well, as he's been there for decades, but my mom would definitely enjoy this book too. Thanks for sharing!
