Go see Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie if you can! Caught a screening last weekend & adored it, whether you're a fan of the show or not it's absolutely hilarious and one of the best original comedy films in years.
Key Fairy is officially released!
Buy it, lest ye be slain!

I haven't read the book so I have no idea sorry, π
the name is clearly a reference of some sort so I assume it's an inspiration in some way. π€·
Nah the narrative is more of a collection of spooky stories that interconnect, check it out if you're curious, it's quite short and free on steam and itch. βΊοΈ
That's all folks!
Congratulations to the lucky award winners, I hope you enjoyed the holidays and played a few cool things last year, see you (right now?) in 2026! π
15/15
#13 - Hollow Knight: Silksong
Obviously right? Somehow even bigger, harder and weirder than the original, a hugely impressive and gigantic game with secrets upon secrets upon even more secrets to uncover.
14/?
#12 - Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree
I got very burned out on Elden Ring so I'm glad I waited to play the DLC. Pretty incredible stuff, somehow even bigger and better than what I was expecting, the design of the map is really quite incredible to gradually uncover and some sick bosses.
13/?
#11 - We Love Katamari
Having discovered Katamari only a few years ago, I'm constantly ashamed of not having known about it sooner. Incredible sequel with a real kitchen-sink approach to it's design, pure joy just radiates from it, honestly maybe an all-timer for me, I love this game so much.
12/?
#10 - Gnomes
Another "just one more game" number though more of a low-stakes, chill kind of affair. Heaps of mechanics to toy around with and plenty of ways to amass an unstoppable gnome army.
11/?
#9 - Demon Turf
A little wonky in places but an overall charming little 3d platformer with some pretty spicy end-game challenges to face. You can feel the developers really getting into the swing of things in the DLC campaign so I'm keen to check out the sequel.
10/?
#8 - Wildfrost
An interesting mix of a lot of different ccg and roguelike game design, there's a lot of fun to be had breaking the mechanics to create crazy op cards.
9/?
#7 - Kaizen: A Factory Story
Zachtronics lives on! Not my favourite title of theirs but you can't really go wrong with something from this team, consistently thought provoking engineering puzzles and a banging soundtrack to boot!
8/?
#6 - Indika
Played this with my partner and it honestly kind of blew us away, some really stunning visuals and virtual camera work along with an extremely well-written, though-provoking narrative. Another strongly recommended one!
7/?
#5 - Doom: The Dark Ages
Didn't quite grab me in the vice grips as strongly as Eternal did and the story is kind of out of control at this point but it's a very fun, very beautiful, very good shooter with some visceral thrills to be had.
6/?
#4 - If on a Winter's Night, Four Travelers
A lovely little short point-n-click adventure with some gorgeous pixel art and unique narrative presentation, great for a spooky night in.
5/?
#3 - Shogun Showdown
My go-to "just one more game" affair from 2025, hugely clever and well designed combat along with plenty of unlockables and post-game challenges. Another incredible soundtrack too, strongly recommend this one!
4/?
#2 - Blasphemous II
Loved the first game that the sequel hits all the right beats, airtight platforming, amazing soundtrack and the more free-form map design helps distinguish it from the original.
3/?
#1 - King's Field (USA) (the one in english that's also the second one?)
Gave it a go for a laugh but it caught me by surprise and has stuck with me throughout the year, a wonderfully mysterious and obtuse game with a lot of charm, really excited to dig deeper into the series.
2/?
Happy New Year folks!
I was overseas during the holidays which means the annual "Games I Really Enjoyed That May of May Not Have Come Out This Year" have been delayed. π
Luckily, the prestigious award ceremony begins right now!
Who will take home a 2025 GIRETMOMNHCHTY?
Stay tuned!

Also sorry for the post spam, turns out I had a very specific privacy setting enabled in my browser that breaks image uploads on this site. The modern internet huh? π

Hey! Me and a pal have an atmospheric jungle/dnb album coming in a couple of weeks, very early 2000's VGM inspired. Check out the first track here - soundcloud.com/liltommyj/po...

Don't be too hard on yourself JT, full-time work is a hugely demotivating slog and most people I know don't have the time or energy to produce anything creative at all. Always appreciate your music and vids even if it's not quite the volume of output you're hoping for. π
Hey happy birthday! ππππ²
