“Unconditional surrender” isn’t foreign policy, it’s fantasy. We launched an illegal war, and now Trump says there will be no deal unless Iran capitulates completely. That’s not diplomacy, that’s ego. Wars end with negotiations, not Truth Social ultimatums.
This is going to be hard for some people to accept, but I think the US government is lying to us about the state of negotiations between itself and Iran.
Maybe it’s a bad idea to put people in charge of government who are eager for the rapture.
That one person can drag us into a war without consulting or even notifying Congress, or our allies, or fully explaining to the American people why this is necessary, is absolutely bonkers.
Reminder that Congress has the power to stop this.
Trump didn’t “free Iran.” Leadership succession was already planned. Regime change doesn’t happen because of one U.S. strike. Meanwhile, the Constitution requires Congress to authorize war. According to the Brennan Center, these strikes were unconstitutional. Sovereignty matters. So does the law.
Trump is yanking the feds off Anthropic’s Claude after the company refused Pentagon demands that would loosen safeguards on surveillance and autonomous weapons. AI shouldn’t target or spy on its own, period — humans must stay in charge.
No proof of widespread interference exists, yet a draft executive order could claim it to justify expanding presidential authority over elections. That’s not how our system works. We must protect election integrity AND constitutional limits on power
If Donald Trump pressured the United States Department of Justice to block Netflix’s Warner Bros. Discovery deal unless Susan Rice was removed, that wouldn’t be antitrust enforcement, it would be political retaliation. That’s an abuse of power, plain and simple.
