Another few entries on The Edinburgh Film Festivals and Cinemas Archive. This week, a selection of the Cameo Cinema programmes. Check them out: edinfilmfestcinearchive.blogspot.com
Itβs the news youβve been waiting forβ¦we are reopening on Friday 27 June!
Finally unwrapped, nice to see you again @filmhouseedinburgh.bsky.social π Can't wait for you to open again!
At the moment, I'm job searching which takes priority so posts may become infrequent again. If anyone has a A3 scanner I could use, please get in touch.
Just to update on the project: I'll be posting again. I have a backlog of items from when I had access to an A3 scanner and some things I am able to scan in A4 so expect weekly posts.
Pleased to be posting again on The Edinburgh Film Festivals & Cinemas Archive with this certificate from the 4th EIFF. This took a lot of research even having to contact the US National Archive & Library of Congress. You can read about it here: edinfilmfestcinearchive.blogspot.com/2025/05/cert...
Really honoured to be a part of this year's team at @glasgowfilmfest.bsky.social π Can't wait for you to all experience this year's programme!

Happy New Year π
New year, New Job and I'll soon be moving to a new city! Can't wait to share more soon πβΊοΈ Till then, I must focus on moving π¦
Got to see it earlier this month but watching it again, Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl is a true masterpiece! The wonderful mix of old and new, the music, the vocal performance, the smashing jokes, the emotions. It was all there in classic Aardman charm! Just brilliant!
People don't realise a mail merge takes 5min to put together!
Thought it might be worth starting a starter pack for organisations & people involved with film festivals & cinemas. I've just added organisations for now but am looking forward to adding people. Just reply to this and let me know. Please feel free to share.

What do I do?
- I'm a freelancer who's passionate about Film Festivals and Film organisations. I work as The Unbound Screen.
- I love working with archives and in my free time, I work on the Edinburgh Film Festivals & Cinemas Archive.
- I love all things film, D&D, arts & culture.
Brilliant list. I'm working on the Edinburgh Film Festivals & Cinemas Archive (edinfilmfestcinearchive.blogspot.com) and would love to be added.
Are film festival people included?
From working at Cameo, this feels like Picturehouse setting one price for all rather than realising, outside London, Β£8 for any drink isn't normal!
I don't remember it ever being that expensive!
*In the cinema for Wicked, trailers haven't even started*
Person behind me: I'm going to take my shoes off, I like to get comfy!
Me:
All this discourse of people using their phones during Wicked is putting the fear in me ahead of seeing it on Tuesday. Think there needs to be stronger messaging and harsher punishments regarding phone use in cinemas.
A question for Bluesky: What's your favourite experience/memory from a film festival?
