Dominic Dawson (aka DJD) has been making excellent disco/dance re-edits since the 90s, but he is only getting more prolific and better with age. The £50 yearly subscription has already paid for itself in 2026. Just dropped now is his re-edit of Konk's "Your Life". This is the dubbed out version.
They have an alternate version of Never Let Me Down and a remaster of the original mix. Obviously, I could only tweak "Too Dizzy" to fit in with the latter.
It seems Bowie was initially excited about this album but it didn't come out the way he wanted at the time?
Anyway, I uh "found" "Too Dizzy" and did a super quick custom remaster of it to try and have it sound contemporary with the remastered Never Let Me Down from the Loving the Alien boxed set. People know I'm a nerd, but they just don't realize how deep I go with nerddom.
OK... of all the songs that David Bowie decided to omit, it's "Too Dizzy"? It's not that great, but I can think of a at least a dozen other songs that are worse.
This must be one of those "I lost a loved one while listening to this song" things, because this makes zero sense.

I *do* have a feeling that I will no longer poke fun at Never Let Me Down (even though it was neck and neck with Living Colour's Vivid and R.E.M. Monster for most abundant used CD ever.) I always like "Day In, Day Out". The ones I'm not looking forward to are Tonight and Black Tie White Noise.
Aladdin Sane is and will probably remain my favorite Bowie album. However, I think I did myself a disservice by cutting off everything after 1980. I don't expect to be won over by the 80s and 90s album. I'm really looking forward the last few years.
