I know it could be argued that colonialism has never actually gone away... But there's a feeling that this phase is way more visible.

I sense we are seeing the beginning of a new colonial era. The US is clearly actively engaged in securing natural resources ( #Venezuela, #Nigeria, #Greenland). China has been doing it softly for a while. Saudi Arabia and the Emirates are playing their own version. Russia too.
Key findings; Brexit has imposed a large and persistent cost on the UK economy. By 2025, they estimate that UK GDP per capita was 6–8% lower than it would have been without Brexit. Investment was 12–18% lower, employment 3–4% lower, and productivity 3–4% lower. /2

And don't forget the regular "inboarding" for people that are already in the system. The forgotten sibling of the other two... and as important, if not more important, to create a healthy environment.

Wednesday wasn't luck.
It was insider trading at historic scale.
Millions in zero-day options precisely 29min before Trump's announcement.
This could only have been executed by sophisticated pros with advance knowledge.
My third newsletter post: data-and-politics.ghost.io/this-is-what...
I've published a summary of the talk I presented at the Agile Saturday conference in Tallinn.
It also includes another experiment with NotebookLM to produce an AI-generated podcast of the content.

Two recent examples of what #notebookLM produced have left me totally impressed. I wrote about these two examples and share a video by @fortelabs.bsky.social covering its capabilities.

MAGA really doesn’t like the Trump, Putin, and Elon Musk floats at the carnival parade in Germany.
My hats off to the Germans!

“The conversation is the work.”
A busy end to February - coaching, consulting, and training - wrapped up with a trip to Lean Agile Manchester. Great to connect, share practices on team performance, Clean Language, and facilitation retrospectives. #Agile #Coaching #Facilitation #TeamPerformance
The most unpatriotic members of any society are the far right. They will always align with foreign interests against the interests of their own nations. They will always undermine national institutions and national values in pursuit of their own interests. When they pose as patriots, they lie.
Wow. it must feel terrible when someone takes something you made and uses it without permission or payment
Not comparing Labour to the Tories though. The conservative party is an absolute mad house run by incompetent lunatics.
Correct. Her comments about the UK's perceived "competitive advantage" is a reflection of the general malaise that contributed to Brexit. Sadly, Labour is not entirely free from it.
Right after the #brexit referendum in 2016, I told a group of Remainers that it would take 30-40 years before the #UK would be ready to rejoin the #EU.
It's not even a decade yet. The UK has barely started its journey to discover how it fits in in the modern world. Still playing colonial games.
"We have to look at the areas where we have competitive advantage and exploit those".
What if there aren't enough (even any) of those? What if those we had existed because we were in the EU?

Introducing the #ghostcoaching logo. Big reveal time!
This is the final iteration (for now) of the ghostcoaching logo. What started with 3 designers producing 3 logo ideas each, plus a few rounds of open feedback, has become this final logo. loved the process :-)

I ruined the Ad Astra painting for my wife 😇
Ad Astra, by Gallen-Kallela, is a well-known work of art in Finland. It is currently being exhibited at the Helsinki Ateneum.

Hyvää Uutta Vuotta!
1/ Ok, so instead of just making jokes about the EU Reset, I wanted to do a very simplified thread on:
- what the actual problem is Keir Starmer is trying to solve;
- the options on the table; and
- why this shit is hard.
This will be very long. I'm sorry.
Let's get wonky.
This is a superb article. Fully recommended.

Quite suddenly, however, Bluesky has, at least in my world, reached that point. There are now enough of the people I want a conversation with on here that I don't need to check Twitter to know what's going on, no longer need to post over there to be sure people see something 5/
Yeah. My takeaway was it was my proposal what needed to be better...
Even if there was enough of a hint that the reviewer was simply unfamiliar with what I wanted to cover. That happens too.
