You can see the dramatic structure built into the game which translates nicely into the trailer:

Escalation->Complications
Climax->Execution

The title cards provide a clear message:

"It's not just a heist, it's a rescue mission."

There are times when a "sexy" trailer is the goal. But ultimately a potential player wants to know what the game is beyond flash.

For this we knew we wanted to make the loop clear. This game is pretty unique with the plan/setup phase that supports the super fast and exciting escape phase at the end of each mission.

Especially if you have a multi-trailer marketing plan, understand the purpose of each beat.

This one was super fun. It was really tough to decide which spots best highlighted the destructible nature of virtually everything in the game.

Huge thanks to the devs for enhancing some key shots like the opening with additional things to destroy and Konami for working with me!

It instills trust. And that helps when you need them to spend $$.

One inspiration Terry mentioned during brainstorming was the Calvin and Hobbes Tenth Anniversary Book, which has a lots of behind-the-scenes insights about each strip.

I wanted this to feel a little like you're flipping through a book, learning about each self contained game.

Viewers tend to skip around when looking at game videos on Steam!

I figured we could use that to our advantage. Make a little feature to help them skip around while still knowing what they were looking at.

Terry and I put this video together for his new collection "Terry's Other Games".

This is less of a trailer and more of an effective way to preview the games. When you scrub through the video (Steam for example), the indicators tell you where you are and what you're looking at.
