The Protecting Children with Food Allergies Act is now law! It says that school food service staff must be trained to prevent & respond to allergic reactions.
AAFA worked with Sen. Durbin, Sen. Fischer, & our partners to advance this protection for students. Huge thanks to our amazing advocates!
Preventive measures put in place since the Food Safety Modernization Act became law help to keep food safer. #Recalls are part of that safety net. There is more to be done and AAFA is leading advocacy efforts to improve allergen labeling.
