I was passed a generic VHS tape from a colleague in the industry when I was working as a PA. Blair Witch Project in red marker right on the black plastic, not even a label. Given no context, simply “this is a pretty wild documentary”. 6 months before it was released. What a way to experience that.

A break from political outrage to say “Chikhai Bardo”: beautiful filmmaking, performance by Dichen Lachman, just enough plot WTFs but not too much to overwhelm the human connection. Strongest #Severance outing for me so far. Exquisite and haunting final shots behind my eyelids in sleep tonight.
One of my favorite scenes in the entire show, and it was even more emotional on a rewatch—amazing acting and writing.

Here’s the general conclusion to that scene. “What I’m saying is there is a culture of lawlessness that is preventing me from doing my job…” - they end up tossing her in jail. I agree with someone who said Special Agent Dale Cooper was the perfect example. But Mulder & Scully fit there, too.
