so yes, it is an existential threat the higher education.

I teach a master's programme and I can tell you that 90% of the assignments I mark have evidence of (prohibited) AI use. I estimate that 50% are almost entirely written using AI.

I can't tell you the percentage of students that actually deserve to 'earn' their masters degrees.
