Not really. Thunderstorms were rare in Spokane. Maybe saw one or two “good” thunderstorms. Not just a “was that thunder I heard” and then not hear anything else.

A REAL THUNDERSTORM!!! I’m so happy to hear the rumbling and the heavy rains outside! ⛈️

Today's SLIGHT RISK is aligned with a cold front. The strongest storms look to be located closer to College Station and Houston today and stay well south of Waco. Large Hail will be the primary threat with the strongest storms.

Who's ready for past-7pm sunsets!!! Daylight time starts Sunday and the sun will set an hour later (for those who observe).

Many Tornado Warnings issued today. Among them, one for Three Rivers, Michigan where a tornado hit around 2:45pm Friday. I also see that Tulsa, Oklahoma is under a tornado warning with a very convincing radar signature at 6:12pm.

While I’m still settling into Waco, I don’t quite have enough time for full speedruns yet…

But I am warming up with an ol’ favorite for when I do return to streams next week. 👀

Quick severe weather forecast: ENHANCED RISK today for the central plains.

Greatest tornado risk will be for areas near Fort Smith, AR and eastern Oklahoma (4-10pm Fri.)

For Texas: Isolated storms will pop up after 1pm, mainly pester Dallas area / north of Waco.

Doing some more in-town sightseeing. Today’s Waco adventure, a nice Riverwalk across the historic suspension bridge along the Brazos River.

Thunderstorm forecasting in Texas today! There’s a SLIGHT RISK for severe weather. Strong storms will fire up along a slow-cold front in North Texas around 6pm. The very southern tip may get to Waco.

Tonight is the TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE!!! It’ll last for 58 minutes starting at 6:04am ET / 3:04am PT early Tuesday morning.
