That is why Lacey and I entered politics nearly a decade ago. That is the lesson we try to impart on our young boys. And that is the same spirit I will carry with me as I continue to serve the people of New York as Lieutenant Governor.

Ultimately, this decision for me comes down to my belief that to walk with purpose, is to walk with love. That belief has animated this campaign.
To everyone else who believed in us: please never forget that your voice matters, and its power extends well beyond any one campaign or any one politician. You must always hold people in office accountable, because at the end of the day, they work for you. We, and I, work for you.
And a special thanks to @indiab.bsky.social, who joined this campaign because she shares this vision and I know will also continue working toward it.
To those who have supported this effort, especially my incredible campaign team and volunteers, I canβt begin to express my gratitude for each and every one of you.
I do not make this decision lightly, particularly given that so many have poured their belief into our campaign and are desperate to be given a voice.
And though my campaign has come to an end, I fully intend to do all I can in our effort to build a more humane, affordable and equitable state that serves all New Yorkers. I will also support Democrats in our effort to hold the line against Trump and take back our democracy.
Antonio Delgado hugging India Walton in a library. Both are smiling.
Iβve decided to end my campaign for Governor of New York. After much consideration, Iβve concluded that there simply is no viable path forward.

New York wouldnβt be the same without our Puerto Rican community, and Bad Bunnyβs music and culture is what the U.S. is all about. Happy Benito Bowl, everyone!
As governor, Iβd support New York for All on day one. The current governorβs refusal to act puts New Yorkers at risk.
Albany has New York for All on the table right now, sponsored by Sen. Gounardes. It creates real, comprehensive protections against ICE and goes far beyond the governorβs limited proposal to simply ban local law enforcement cooperation.
Today I stood outside House Committee on Homeland Security Chairmain Rep. Garbarinoβs office on Long Island with community leaders, demanding accountability from ICE ahead of this weekβs hearings in Congress.
@islipforward.bsky.social
You donβt get to call yourself pro-labor while kneecapping nurses fighting for fair pay and safe staffing. Thatβs not solidarity. Thatβs donor service.
NYers deserve leaders who choose the people, every time. Thatβs why Iβm running for Lt. Governor.
I stand with working people. Period.
Especially the @nynurses.bsky.social on strike right now.
Iβm a nurse. Iβve seen what happens when hospitals put profits over patients, and when politicians like Kathy Hochul help them get away with it.

@indiab.bsky.social and I will always stand with the people, whether itβs to fight Trump or hospital CEOs trying to break this strike with the governorβs help.
Donβt call for party unity, unless you mean unifying to protect our nurses and taxing the rich! #TaxtheRich
Inside the New York State Democratic Party convention, they talked about who weβre fighting against.
Outside, in the cold, we were clear about who weβre fighting for: striking @nynurses.bsky.social and the people who are tired of corporate greed all across New York.
The strike is the largest nurses' strike in New York City's history. These hospitals have the money through various channels. The executive order allows them to use less strict hiring standards for the replacements.
In politics, you often choose sides. I choose the people.
Antonio Delgado with India Walton standing behind him. He is holding a megaphone speaking with a red knit hat on, surrounded by striking nurses with signs and the same red hats. An American flag waves on flagpole. Snow on the ground. Very cold day.
Inside the New York State Democratic Party convention in Syracuse: a rubber-stamp coronation for Kathy Hochul and Adrienne Adams.
Outside the convention hall: @nynurses.bsky.social on day 26 of their strike, because the governorβs order lets hospitals hire replacement nurses.
Their grassroots organizing, record youth mobilization, and legislative successes are an inspiration in the fight for a real climate revolution. Honored to earn their endorsement, and look forward to working with them in Albany so New York can get back on track to being a leader in a green future.

The time to invest in renewable energy was YESTERDAY. In fact, itβs a LAW. The governor has chosen to ignore it, along with a host of other inexcusable choices like approving Trumpβs new oil pipeline.
Sunrise Movement NYC knows whatβs up.

You cannot claim to be on the side of labor if you sabotage a union strike.
The governor has repeatedly extended an executive order letting hospitals bring in visiting nurses, gutting the strikeβs leverage.
@nynurses.bsky.social deserve fair contracts. jacobin.com/2026/02/gove...
Iβll be there in Albany on February 25th. Will you join us?
Striking members of @nynurses.bsky.social at Montefiore Hospital just lost their health insurance. All because they want things like safe staff-to-patient ratios, which keeps them AND their patients safe.
Shame.

Ignoring New Yorkβs housing crisis, despite your own comptroller sounding the alarm, is negligent.
The REST Act would make it easier for municipalities outside NYC to adopt rent stabilization. And yet it sits.
Why? Ask the real estate lobbyists. www.osc.ny.gov/press/releas...
V alarming β and no surprise to us. Home care workers & recipients have been denied transparency on how a $9B contract was handed to a failed PE company, or how that $ is spent.
@delgadoforny.bsky.social demanded transparency, & he isnβt taking $$ from corporate PACs!

450k New Yorkers on the Essential Plan will lose health insurance from federal funding cuts unless we tax the rich.
Premiums will skyrocket for everyone else and medical debt will worsen.
There's a logical way out here. TAX THE RICH and PASS THE NEW YORK HEALTH ACT.
The group is named "Citizens for Affordable Rates." What she's proposing would cap insurance payouts if you're hurt in a car accident, in the hopes that car insurance companies, out of the goodness of their hearts, will lower their monthly premiums. Be serious, Hochul.
