Call your reps today and oppose H.S. 7661 which labels all "gender dysphoria and transgenderism" as explicit. Don't let trans existance be criminalized.

Screenprinted poster on offwhite background with some black and some red text reading, from top to bottom: "March 1st 2025 1-5 PM. Sacramento Valley Tenants Union Public Launch. Community Defense Through Our Shared Struggles. Join us for a cross-movement dialogue about how we defend our neighborhoods against fascism and kick off the Sacramento Valley Tenants Union as a member-funded union. DJ/Food/Art Build. 400 16th Street Sac 95814." Red and black and images on poster are an illustration of people carrying a house on their backs and a rocket launching up. There is also an illustration of a crowd at the bottom of the poster with a fist and star in the middle of the parted crowd.
Join SVTU for the public launch of our member-funded union with music, food, art, and a conversation between local orgs (Sac Punks with Lunch, @norcalresist.bsky.social, trans/queer affinity group, more TBA) about how we collectively defend our most vulnerable neighbors from the fascist onslaught.
If you feel despair, if you feel defeated, if you catch yourself dissociating or focusing on what our oppressors are doing rather than on what you can do yourself—that is territory that the enemy has claimed within you.
Give them nothing. Focus on your agency. We are in a fight that we can win. 🏴🏴🏴
If You Interact with ICE Agents at Work: Ask if you are free to leave. If so, you may calmly walk out. You have the right to refuse consent to a search. You have the right to remain silent. You do not have to discuss your immigration status with anyone, such as about where you were born, whether you are a citizen, or how you entered the country. If you have valid immigration documents, you should show them. Never provide fake documents. If you are arrested, say that you wish to remain silent until speaking with a lawyer. You have the right to record your interaction with immigration agents as long as you do not interfere.
If ICE Agents Show Up at Your Door You do not have to open the door. If you do, stay calm – you have rights. Ask what they are there for (and ask for an interpreter if you need one). If they ask to enter, ask if they have a warrant signed by a judge and if so, ask to see it (through a window or slipped under the door). If they do not have a warrant signed by a judge, you may refuse to let them in. Ask them to leave any information at your door. If they force their way in, do not resist. Tell everyone in the residence to remain silent. If you are arrested, you have the right to remain silent. Do not sign anything until you speak with a lawyer.
Tú tienes derecho a guardar silencio.
Regardless of your immigration status in the U.S., you have guaranteed rights under the Constitution. Know your rights and assert them.
