I’m in good company here when it comes to sentiments about ICE. I’m horrified. I’m pissed. I’m outraged. I’m heartbroken. And in the middle of all these feelings it’s so tempting to point fingers and blame the people who voted for “him.” But what does this accomplish? It doesn’t change minds. It isolates. It makes people defensive. It deepens the divide. So let’s pivot. Let’s give them permission to change their minds. To opt out. To wake up. We need to unite. It’s the only way through.
