Terrifying... I can't help but feel overwhelming sadness. Here I am feeling like I need to make serious plans ready to implement in case my passport gets revoked, and I just think about the trans people unable to make plans for their own safety. I can't just leave. But I am scared - for all of us.
This is what I woke up to this morning! I don't know how I was able to get pictures of him without him getting up. It's like he knows when I'm trying to take a picture of him and actively sabotages it.

Considering starting a digital garden for my thoughts as I go through studies for my MSc degree in Clinical Animal Behaviour. I think it'd be fun to watch it grow over the next few years.

1/ Thanks again to Eric and Walter for taking the time to engage with our books! In case anyone is interested, you can find my reply to Eric and Walter -- addressed directly to them, since it originated as an email -- in the next post. (I focus on their discussion of my book.)
βThat suggests that, at least in this experiment, the participants tended to base their interpretations on the environment around the dogβ

How can I keep my cat happy? Nice post from veterinarian @drquain.bsky.social theconversation.com/how-can-i-ke...
to all cat owners reading this, I think you should give your cat a treat right now. Your cat has been so good and so patient and is so hungry so surely they deserve a treat do they not?
It's very sad news about Karen Pryor. She inspired so many to be better dog trainers.
The tail says it all! That is one more than willing participant! Gotta love teaching old dogs new tricks

Yeah, itβs fine to skip that walk. Give dogs some problem solving activities that align with them. Sniff, seek, chase, play, rest, repeat. Regulate their nervous systems.
It's exquisite
