We were finally able to make it back to Veteran's, even though there was a lot of moisture. John and Mark brought the torch to remove the remaining wet spots in the bowl, and we ended up with a great turnout.

For the first session of 2026 there was early morning snow, so we made a last minute change to Substance in Brooklyn, NY. It was a small group (Sam, Dustin, & Howard), but we met a bunch of great people while we were there!

Because of snow, we made a last-minute decision to head to 2nd Nature Skatepark. We rolled up with a large crew, bought out all of their softer wheels, and put that bowl to use. I couldn't think of a better way to close out 2025 than skating with these amazing people!

I'm speaking at a Moth-style storytelling event in downtown Northport this Friday. It's $20/ticket with all the proceeds benefitting the Brother Malcolm Daniel Skateboarding program, which makes skateboarding accessible to underprivileged youth in the area.

Heavy rains were forecasted to begin around Noon, which is when Veteran's Skate Park opens, so we decided to shoot for 9am at Brentwood, in the hopes of beating the rain.

We were able to beat the storm for a solid session before the rain came. We were also blessed to have Chad Caruso swing by for a bit to hang with the crew.

The weather was cool and very windy, which made for a mostly empty park. Additionally, many of the group members had met up for a long skate session on Saturday. As a result, attendance was very light, but it was still a great day!

It was a beautiful day, but it ended with me leaving behind a GoPro camera. Luckily, I got Sam rolling into the bowl for the first time. She wasn't hurt, but released a flood of emotion after conquering a fear she had been facing for a while. We're all so proud of her!

Once again, we had an amazing day with great weather, a packed skatepark, and a great crew of people. It ended up being warmer than expected, but we brought ample covering for the crew. I also dropped in and rolled into the bowl for the first time since breaking my leg.

I'm almost back!!! My PT won't be happy with me, but I had to see if I could still roll in and carve. I went slowly, but it felt great to be rolling again!

We had another beautiful day, and had a few faces we haven't seen for a bit. This session saw Thomas, Richie, Stevie, Shawn, John, Ian, Dan K, Alex, and Tristan tearing up the bowl. Jenn showed up later in the day, and made some great progress on her comfort on a short board.

Our One Year Anniversary!

This Sunday we celebrate our 1 year anniversary at Veterans Skate Park! The park doesn't open until 1pm for the next few weeks. Hope to see you all there!
