No, the AP posts the data on their own dashboards, but if you want it at scale, or for specific races, you have to pay for access to their API. If Kalshi is going to use this data to resolve bets, they'd have to have access to the API
Kalshi bought an API key to AP data, basically. AP isn't doing anything except selling elections results to Kalshi, I think the headline is exaggerating a bit here
I don't think "teaming up" is how I'd phrase the fact that it looks like Kalshi just bought access to AP elections data. Seems pretty bog standard. AP is selling data to Kalshi, not partnering on something?
