whether something is AI still aren't very good, and title sequences are historically very labor-intensive and graphics-heavy jobs, so it makes me bristle when people immediately jump to AI when there are a lot of other possible explanations. if it is AI, i'll be shocked and disappointed for sure.

i'm not saying it's impossible but they just look like one screengrab from a CGI rendering where a lot of stuff is moving on screen and there's a lot of layers, to me. it would be monumentally stupid for a lot of reasons for AMC to use AI in their title sequence, so it just seems unlikely to me.

I know these graphic artists who worked on the title sequence are having a collective eye twitch moment at the internet dismissing months of work in an already undervalued field with no better sources than “trust me bro”

I would love for someone to explain how they know it’s AI because I’ve seen a lot of finger pointing without any clarity. I have a VERY hard time believing that any of this is AI for a lot of reasons but I have yet to see anyone actually explain how they “know”
