(6/7) We assert that it is the shared responsibility of both governments to restore peace, enabling the people on both sides to coexist in good faith, mutual trust, and dignity. We further urge Cambodian and Thai societies to refrain from hate, incitement, and prejudiced speech,
(5/7) We also call on all civil society organizations and media outlets, both national and international, to continue exposing the root causes of this conflict, and to prevent elite interests and ultranationalism from being weaponized against peoples’ solidarity.
(4/7) to pursue United Nations and other multilateral institutional protocols to mediate the conflict, and to work towards mitigating further impacts on communities from both sides, whilst ensuring their immediate safety, and attending to their essential humanitarian needs.
