ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN is one of my favorite games in years. I'm glad it got a proper write up in the New York Times.

This is essentially the origin story of 40% of supervillians. Stay safe, my brother.
Andrej Karpathy, one of the technical founders of OpenAI and the progenitor of "vibe coding", low-key mentions that his weapon of choice is Anthropic's Claude 4.5 Opus.
(No judgement, just an interesting observation.)

I'm shy of a decade in the business. I see what you see.
And worse, everyone I know whose been doing this as long as you have says the same thing.
The common refrain is "I'm working twice as hard to accomplish half as much."
Thank you for talking to the researchers about this. It's good to have evidence-based confirmation that "the algorithm" is broken. Unfortunately, this feels a little bit like climate change. The scientists identify a better path, but the monied-class wants to stay the course.
It's a fine article in the abstract, but I'm immensely disappointed they didn't mention your degenerate Magic the Gathering standard brews. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
When I was a kid, I loved taking things apart to understand how they worked. My parents (bless them) encouraged me by picking up old electronics at flea markets to encourage my curiosity.
This explainer scratches that itchy part of my brain!

I'm ethnically Jewish and I support Kat.

Overheard in the East Wing of the White House:
"This leopard definitely won't eat my face!"
100% couldn't agree more
This is a canonically true statement.
I'm not mad about this.
I remember when antitrust law prevented studios from owning theaters. It was a good idea at the time, but... times have changed.
Theaters are no longer the way most people watch movies.
I love movie theaters and I'm fine with corporate largess keeping the experience alive.
Woof. It's bound to happen in real life, but yeah... the idea is heavy. :)
I was the localization producer at Sega of America. My primary job was managing the creation of all the English language assets from the original Japanese. I also supported Sonic Team with little things, like feedback on a couple game mechanics and talking with American game journalists.
My good dude. In the year 2025, you're going to have to be a liiiiitle more specific than that! :)
I have a theory...
Congrats on the milestone! I'll celebrate with you, in spirit, from up the coast. Have a phenomenal time!!
You're a wretched, horrible monstrosity. Don't ever change!
My dear compatriot, this is an exquisite take! π©βπ³π½
The enshittification will continue as long as shareholder value improves.

To be clear, I don't believe that generative AI is good or bad. It's akin to a power tool, like a chainsaw or a forklift. Someone smarter than me pointed out that while you *could* take a forklift to the gym, that kinda defeats the point. That feels super analogous to many arguments about the tech.
As someone who learned about computers when assembly code was highly relevant in every aspect of programming, I find myself agreeing with John Carmack and Tim Sweeney.

Yes and yes!
Keep fighting the good fight, my man.
I've been inside the belly of the beast, so I understand why people are skeptical.
I also fully comprehend the limits of capitalism. It's not an omnipotent force.
Sometimes, maybe most times, people are simply doing their best according to their principles.
Bravo, my friend! I'm super hyped!!
Daaaaamn. I rarely see this kind of shade thrown by career journalists. It's a beautiful thing to witness.
lolololol, any skeletal mercenary dork would be lucky to have a fan like you!! Don't ever change. π
I'm not gonna stop you, but... you know, your Tasky fanaticism is definitely (probably) super important (to someone). π
As a member of the Sonic Unleashed team, thank you for working hard to keep this game alive and accessible to Sonic fans everywhere! This game holds a special place in my heart!!
(Please note: I'm no longer employed by, or affiliated with, SEGA. Just an enthusiast -- like so many others.)
