Tonight I checked off yet another bucket-list interview, and it's one I'll be forever grateful for. Coming 3/16 to the MWM Patreon and 3/23 to the main feeds.
And don't worry, the towels are oh so fluffy...
Tonight I checked off yet another bucket-list interview, and it's one I'll be forever grateful for. Coming 3/16 to the MWM Patreon and 3/23 to the main feeds.
And don't worry, the towels are oh so fluffy...
There are TWO new MWM episodes coming your way this week!
First up: Ever judge an album by its cover? Jay Sweet joins me as we flip through some virtual record crates to curate a playlist inspired by the most iconic album covers of all time.
Listen at all the places!
Today's πΏ haul: stumbled on Social Distortion's "Story of My Life" single & replaced my copy of "Mommy's Little Monster. Then I snagged The Cranberries' "MTV Unplugged," Public Enemy's RSD press of "Revolution Tour 2003" & the Legacy Ed. of Billy Joel's "Piano Man." ππΌ
Eclectic night of tunes ahead!
Bruce Johnston, a Bottle of Fiji Water, and a Beach Boys Story Iβll Never Forget...
Tune into the premiere of Mixtape Moments, a new MWM mini-episode available now at all the places!
It was absolutely staggering the amount of hits that album had; and they probably could've kept going!
I finally snagged the 2006 deluxe 2-CD set of Def Leppardβs Hysteria, packed with B-sides, live cuts, remixes & Stumpus Maximus & The Good Ol Boys' "Release Me."
Purists may argue, but Hysteria was my introduction to the band, & I still love it, overplayed classics included. π€πΌ
Any White Reaper fans on here? These guys are so consistently solid. Their latest single "Need" is another absolute jam! π₯
Now playing: Lamb of God's "Into Oblivion" followed by Wu-Tang Clan's "Mandingo."
To some, this might seem like a bit of a pivot. To me? Both tracks hit full-throttle and work perfectly back-to-back. π€·πΌββοΈπ€πΌ
This week, I sit down with Warren Haynes to revisit Tales of Ordinary Madness! We talk Megaforce Records, co-producing with Chuck Leavell, Jim Scottβs new mixes, Bonnaroo 2004 & how Blues Travelerβs βThe Mountains Win Againβ helped shape Govβt Muleβs debut (and that's just scratching the surface).
New episode alert! This week on the #RushFanCast, we're thrilled to talk
#Rush with Canadian singer, songwriter, guitarist and drummer Cory Marks - known for his unique blend of country and rock! Join us #RushFamily! #CoryMarks

Warren Haynes reflects on his legendary 2004 early-morning acoustic set at Bonnaroo β the performance that later became his Live at Bonnaroo album.
The full conversation with Warren drops this Monday but early access Patreon mixtapers can listen now!
Someone is selling the exact Walkman I had growing up.
In case you're wondering, no, I'm not buying it...but it made me smile as I instantly remembered all of the features, including "MEGA BASS!" π
Confession time: how many years did you stare at Boston's self-titled album cover before realizing it's an upside-down guitar?
In case you're interested, there's an ad-free, early access edition of my Warren Haynes interview available now on the MWM Patreon!

Coming to the main feeds this Monday! π€πΌ
I see no problem here. Proceed. π€πΌ
Coming Friday AM to the MWM Patreon Early Access feed and Monday to the main feeds: the legendary Warren Haynes!
You're not gonna want to miss this one! π₯
I am connected to a lot of podcasters & I'll see their random quips, but never their episode posts. I have the same issue.
So, if you like MWM, please subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts & tell a friend if you enjoyed an episode.
Word of mouth > the almighty algorithm!
This week, Outlierβs Joey Arena joins me to break down β(Rock) Superstar,β the bandβs collaboration with Sen Dog and Hyro The Hero, reimagining one of the defining crossover tracks of the early 2000s.
I was having this conversation last night, and now I'm curious where other's stand: Which of these 90's Miami Bass dance hits are more likely to fill a dance floor in 2026?
Quad City DJ's "C'mon N' Ride It (The Train)" or 69 Boyz' "Tootsee Roll?"
That's a sweet looking variant! ππΌ
Not gonna lie, I'm pretty stoked about today's random CD score, cause it's got some T-U-R-T-L-E Power.
Had the cassette growing up. This is going to bring back some memories for sure!
Anyone else have the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles soundtrack growing up? π’
Mail call! πΏ
My copy of the new Goldfinger album "Nine Lives" just arrived. From what I'm aware, it's an indie record store exclusive, which is pretty awesome, as I get to support both the band and an indie shop simultaneously.
Win / win. Now, let's skank!
If you haven't heard those interviews yet, btw: myweeklymixtape.com/2025/12/28/t...
The new Shinedown single "Safe and Sound" slays!
And, as mentioned with both Barry & Eric on their respective MWM episodes, Shinedown's "Ei8ht" drops this May (and it's not a concept album).
Appreciate you tuning in!! ππΌπ€πΌ
No disrespect to "Broken," but "Take A Bow" just felt like the better fit given the songs prior!
