I just met two women who’d walked out of the cinema half way through The Testament of Ann Lee. They came to see it because they liked Amanda Seyfried in Mamma Mia and thought it’d have a similar vibe.

If Jessie Buckley doesn’t like cats and you’re not a fan of Jessie Buckley does this automatically make you a cat ally? I sincerely hope not.
Thank you.
Thanks Katie

Oh I think it was probably an accident.
Someone had splattered what looks to be an entire bottle of soy sauce across the side of my car while I was in Sainsbury’s. I’ve watched a fair amount of CSI and I can’t work out how you’d physically achieve this particular splatter pattern without using some kind of spray gun.
Where are my books? Where are my books? Struggling to concentrate on anything else today.
That’s cool. I’ll probably have some photos but I don’t do unboxing videos. Not my thing.
I have just spent twelve hours traveling back from France. I will have zero problems falling asleep tonight
Tomorrow the postman is bringing me my new book; this is basically Christmas Eve for a writer.
Always love a wee flight back to Belfast when you get sat beside somebody you know and it’s somebody you also like.
We knew you’d love it as much as we do.
No Alibis bookstore in Belfast.
Don’t you just love finding a brilliant new bookstore with the most wonderful owner and staff… 📚👏📚
No Alibis in Belfast.

I like to celebrate #WorldBookDay with my annual clear out of book related tote bags.
There cannot possibly be a published writer anywhere on the planet in need of a branded tote bag.
There is either an owl outside my hotel window or a creepy man making owl noises.
Yes, I am re-reading Excellent Woman for the millionth time.
We always have Magheramorne Wendy. Give me a wee shout if you’d like a lift.
Amazing news
This gets two big thumbs up from me - Isabel Waidner’s best book yet
book cover, The Last Resort by Jan Carson, and a bookmark with strawberries on it.

Thanks. I hope you’re enjoying it.
You will find me doing absolutely nothing this evening aside from lying in bed drinking delicious French wine out of a toothbrush mug
