The more saturated pairs were harder for me. Even at the end, the muted colors were really obvious somehow.

I've seen too many people who love saying "make weird art" draw lines in the sand and go after other creatives because something makes them personally uncomfortable.
That is exactly how the goalposts are moved. It's how the goalposts are always moved until the "good ones" find them at their door.
Ooh you're probably asleep but did you check the vendor for the additional lightstick emotes etc?
This was really cool. I feel like I learned something about how I perceive colors.

The government is asking for public comments on whether banks should be able to deny you from buying legal goods at their own whim (i.e. how they're cracking down on art)

Rehashing my old Sword/Shield OC, whose name might be lost to time (RIP og Switch), for ZA and because the only thing I know about ZA is Corbeau
and because I like dumb little ship names (despite never using one for an OC before)
I'm thinking, perhaps...Gilraine
Rainebeau....rainbow.
Raine joins my catnapper OCs, not because he has trouble sleeping but because it's easier to take short naps (or crash entirely after he's done with a piece). I bet he makes good friends with Corbeau's Scolipede and takes naps on it like a chaise longue...
Perhaps he'll be my default trainer from now on. He's a lot of fun. Dozy dreamy artist whose main Pokemon is Espurr (in part bc Espurr is my favorite, but also...the thought of those big eyes staring up up up at a his artwork, and Espurr giving a little nod when he asks if they like it...)
Raine would give Corbeau this information too. Just offhandedly present him with this whimsical thought, then chuckle at what I can only imagine would be a truly exceptional grimace.

Since sad announcements like today’s from Ben Diskin about Mega Man are going to keep happening, I want to share a Mega-thread about how I see the artists v. genAI in gaming fight playing out, just based on a few core beliefs about human nature and how they impact all the involved parties:
In the late night worries, but if I ever say or do something that bothers someone, I really hope that they come to me to talk about it. From experience, hearing about things second hand sucks. Hearing about things months later, when it's had time to fester and grow, sucks.
how i cope with not having a switch 2

Grief is such an individual journey. Mine hit in waves for years; even now sometimes it catches me off guard. But that sense of survival mode/focusing on what needs to be done is very familiar. (And if anyone tells you you're grieving wrong, bite them.)

Aa, that's so kind of you! I'll take a look!
Will do! I'm really lucky I was able to do a 0% interest option for the console, and I've heard so many good things about it and Pokopia from friends.
show me ya moves #ffxiv
It feels like people are more inclined than ever to judge genres by standards they're not trying to meet across basically all forms of media.
Wah, Nana's is delicious! I missed out on ECCC this year. :< Any chance you'll be back for SakuraCon?
Does this lil old sketch count?
Paying over time for a Switch 2 because I'm trying So Very Hard to be kind to my budget this year, but also. 🫠 Console prices are so gross.
Plus the rest of my hoarded points for a capture card so I can stream Pokopia because I am nothing if not beholden to FOMO.
That makes sense. Having such a narrow preference range will always be weird to me. People can read what they want ofc, stick to a specific genre or two, but it's so hard to relate to outside of occasionally fixating on a genre/style/author for a while. I love variety too much.
I often prefer 3rd because there's a sort of reader doing the work/uncomfortably self-inserty vibe (which I assume was what people quoted in that article preferred about it??) that can happen when 1st person isn't done well but completely rejecting a book because of its POV is mmm...interesting.
That sort of behavior is wild. Reducing someone's entire being down to their name, or their gender/pronouns so so weird.

Offical art of Rim, a Limbus Company character. He's a slender man wearing a very sleek dark and light blue pinstripe suit, with a floating orb for a head. Within the orb is an hour glass with a brain at one end and bright blue and purple butterfly at the other; a small ring loops the middle, and the rest of the orb is filled with a blue liquid of varying hues. He is the wouldest of woulds.

A thousand woulds. Rim my beloved.

Starting to collect names like the fae.
One from a book (which I still haven't read but keep meaning to) that rattled around for years waiting for me to realize I was enby.
One plundered from an OC last year. Still feels weird when I work on him, but not quite enough for me to change his name.
:< Big same.
