A FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY is up for today because of icy/snow-covered roads this morning and very cold temperatures.
Temperatures will rise above freezing by 10-11 a.m. and highs will be in the upper 30s...but some refreezing and black ice will be possible again tonight so be safe on the roads!

From Live 5 Meteorolgist Dorien Minor (@minorwx.bsky.social) -- A "Coastal Flood Advisory" is in effect through 10 a.m. Sunday for the coastlines of Charleston and Colleton Counties. Low-lying and flood-prone areas could see minor or moderate tidal flooding (up to 7.5' MLLW).
FIRST ALERT: Strong winds are starting to turn lighter as our cold front moves offshore! Most of us saw gusts over 40 MPH today, but those should drop below 20 MPH prior to midnight. Lake Wind Advisories will continue overnight inland.

A WIND ADVISORY has been issued for Charleston and portions of Berkeley Counties from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday. The wind will be sustained around 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph at times. Driving could become difficult on elevated bridges and overpasses. #chswx #chsnews
