I'm worried people are telling me "good job" and "nice work" when they don't mean it... even though there's nothing to suggest that they're insincere.
I didn't expect to feel like I'm still finding my feet here after almost a full year...
... don't know how to shift that mentality back to my usual baseline where I feel like I belong and like my work is enough to speak for itself.
I don't want to be cajoled or babied and told my work is good just to put me at ease. Maybe that's what it feels like is happening, when really it's not.
I feel like I'm not enough at this place. Supervisors have told me otherwise -- that they're pleased with my progress. That I've been doing good work. The physicians I've worked with are impressed.

I think imposter syndrome is hitting me hard at this job this week. I've been here nearly a full year but before that, it had been 9 or so years since I've had to prove myself and try to fit in somewhere new.
Everyone I work with is really nice but I FEEL like I'm always behind the ball.
There's nothing that you or I can do about it right now, unfortunately. All we can control is how we can be kind to the people in our immediate spheres of influence -- friends or strangers.
