We are funded by the community for the community. All of the bands are playing for their travel costs and it would be nice for them to leave with something in their pocket other than the warm welcome we will give them.
Although Hexham Punk Pride is free to attend β thatβs right, you heard it correctly, 5 amazing bands for free!!! It sadly does not cost free to host Hexham Pride. If you are able to donate, we would very much appreciate the help, we have no official funding and no corporate sponsorship.
Not one, not two, but FIVE incredibly talented punk bands π§·, each bringing their own style and energy. Where else will you see five incredible bands for free?
So, lace up your stompy boots π₯Ύ, and make enough noise to remind the world, WE'RE QUEER, WE'RE HERE AND WE WILL NOT LIVE IN FEAR!!! π³οΈβππ³οΈββ§οΈ
And finally, but absolutely never the least, the most exciting band to come out of Newcastle, the young, talented, energetic, fun, incredible, and absolutely fabulous Gaydar!!! ππ€©

The most under-rated band in the UK right now, we are very very excited to welcome all the way from Lincolnshire, Ming City Rockers π©·π€©

Super special February edition of Quillseekers Poetry and Spoken Word coming on Friday 27th - headlined by our very own Alice Skye and fundraising for Hexham Pride to help keep this vital event free to access in our local community. Alice Skye is an emerging poet from the northeast, known as a Quillseekersβ open mic regular, and as a performer at Transtock I and II in Newcastle. Beyond poetry, Alice is recognised as the CEO of Hexham Pride and a prominent advocate for Pride activities in the region. While Alice explores a wide range of topics and poetic forms, the sonnet is a particular favourite, and she is especially celebrated for poetry reflecting the transgender experience. There are some incredible raffle prizes to be won! Hope to see you all there!
