Yeah, the newer games do lack tension unless you are playing on the higher difficulties. I think Inferno for REmake 3 has you reset back to the last save same with REmake 4

I was hoping to get it done a lot earlier, but I finally managed to complete Resident Evil: Requiem!

Decided to play on Standard (Classic). I feel like knowing that if you die in Grace's sections that you had to retry from the typewriter added some tension and I definitely played more carefully!

Skye was waiting for the end of the stream the other night.

Resident Evil director Paul W. S. Anderson says adapting games without playing them is "outrageous," and he forces his production designers to at least watch let's plays "I thought 'I have to make a scary movie because the game is scary'"

So Paul W. S. Anderson forces producers to play or watch the Resident Evil games. Which just raises the question of "why are they so out of touch" even harder tbh.
Johannes Roberts did a far better job with Welcome to Raccoon City IMO.

I finished Revelations last year and felt the same about that boss, it's such an unexpected difficulty spike compared to the rest of the game! It's a bit of a sponge and when it gets faster it really is something else

If like me, you are playing Resident Evil: Requiem on the PC with M&K it's worth knowing that the automatic setup can leave Cursor Lock turned off and Borderless Window on.

I had an embarrassing death early on because frantically using a menu had me click off the screen!
Might be worth a toggle!

Tried to make some Gyoza with a skirt for lunch, I think I waited to long to add the cornflour slurry and it ended up a bit burnt. The skirt is barely there though.

Took my wife and Skye out for the day in York. Had a wander down the Shambles and took a look at some shops.
Stopped by the "Brownie Lady" to get some dessert and could help but grab a pistachio filled cookie. Lunch we went to Salt Pig for some delicious focaccia sandwiches!

Currently on a week off from work... Taking it super slow with my pooch.

The weather is rubbish, hoping to get a long walk in this week!

More Pokémon FireAsh. Caught all 3 Kanto legendary birds in the Element Islands then made it back to Oak's lab for a showdown with Gary. He's got his beef'd up Eevee. I would like to say I have the anime appropriate Pikachu, but mines a Raichu with Nasty Plot. I am clearly Dark Ash...

Playing some more Pokémon FireAsh. Taking on Drake in the orange islands.
Charizard is currently brute forcing the game something rotten. Drake is a pretty hefty fight and that lvl 60 Dragonite is no joke. It's got Ice Beam and OHKO's my Dragonite instantly 😅

Re5 got a bit of rework done after the 2007 E3 trailer came out. It was immediately slammed for being overtly racist. They tried to add additional diversity and by the next trailer had introduced Sheva. Several files were added to explain the natives as well. Overall they defended the approach 😅

Playing through Wicked Seed on Steam at the moment, and honestly... It's a half decent Parasite Eve clone.

It's not PE for certain... but it has promise.

The inspiration is really uncanny though, and outfits definitely show it off. Aya Brea and Clair Redfield inspired outfits...

The pets like to remind me to slow down and stick to the 70/30 rule.

I never give 100%. There will always be someone or something that needs a little extra from you. Not giving 100% isn't a bad thing, it's just contingency planning so that you don't miss out on the important things in life.
