Definitely! I aim to limit the time I interact with the news, I pick 2 sources & my community chats. I prefer UTube, but I ignore other political content beyond those 2 sources. The news is damaging but I experience a lot of intersectionality with my identity & I need the info to b safe.
I wish more people would use their words to build ppl up instead of tearing them down, like you can dislike inconsequential things quietly 🫣🫰🏾in your head
I will say a lot of my community mbrs don't have the band width to talk about all that may be affecting us. I think limiting the news is helpful. Cycling in & out of it is helpful but it's hard to stay informed with the multitude of things going on if you rely on ur community to inform u sadly 😭

Haha I remember when my bluesky feed was just furry porn 😌 proud to say I was an early adopter of this space 🙏🏾 it's so nice to watch ppl come over and populate the feeds (no shade to fury porn but variety is the spice of life!)

My partner recently switched from Spotify to YouTube music & confirmed that Spotify's shuffle algorithm was playing the same songs off his 1000 song playlist. We've taken road trips for hours at a time & I thought this man had no music taste with the same songs playing over & over😆
I only work half days at my civvie job and it's been the best thing for my mental health. That's the length of time I can be productive and focus on tasks and then the rest of my day is for me to work on other stuff. As someone with ADHD this is such a blessing 🙏🏾
