I had the honor of having an early read of this book last year, and I loved it! If you love Fantasy, check Evenfall out! You wonβt regret it! Kayla is an incredible writer!

Just write the damn thing. Here's the thing, someone will always be willing to read about vampires (me) just like someone will always be willing to read another book about fae. I hope to encourage someone else not to give up even if it feels like your story has been told before. It hasn't.
She Persisted by F.F. Ayte
Those things are irrelevant, you can give an idea of era through things such as electronics, clothing styles, transportation, etc. Name dropping Taylor Swift 10 times in a book is overkill. In 20 years, most of those references will outdate the book & makes it harder to enjoy for future readers
Literally begging writers to stop using so many pop culture and name drop references π
I hope when it's ready that you all love Evenfall as much as I do. I'm working on the sequel now so if all goes well it won't take almost 20 years to finish π
Which is why it's a little disappointing that the fae are so popular now because people might be getting fae fatigue. But I'm not going to let that discourage me. The way I see it, there's no such thing as too many vampire stories just like there is no such thing as too many fae stories.
So, I wrote Evenfall because I originally was trying to publish a story about a half-vampire, half-witch girl but so many publishing agents kept telling me that the vampire market was oversaturated. I blamed Twilight. I started Evenfall out of spite ππ
Evenfall is a passion project. I started it in like 2011!! But life caught up & it sat in my editor's hand waiting to be finished. I'm happy to say that it is back in the editing phase & almost done. We are almost at the end of the line here!
Thank you to everyone who is supporting me on my writing journey. I used to run a lot of writing/reading blogs years ago but depression burnt me out & I stopped writing for a long time. My editor & my friends gave me the courage to pick it back up again last year so here I am.
