A drunk driver killed my father when I was only 8. Nearly ruined our lives. I was the oldest, 4 brothers. In a flash, we were in poverty and my mother was devastated. She never really got over it. I don’t think people realize the damage they can do when driving drunk.

I agree that sending the manuscript back for a second review is not usually necessary. Reading the revisions and the authors’ responses to reviewer comments is usually enough to make a decision. Is that what you meant?
