This was an incredible discussion, the kind of delight that left me sitting in the car after the podcast ended mulling it over. Thank you

Greg's antagonism gives the panelists a common enemy too, creating an uncommon sense of camaraderie for what's ostensibly a competition. That's a huge part of the charm for me.
there are some people around you who know what to do, and it might be tough, but find them. and join them. even if you canβt do some things, they will have some things you can do and it will feel less hopeless
If you love making games, donβt spend money on classes about making games. Youβll get better at that by doing it. Spend money on classes for bookkeeping, taxes, and contracts, at which you will always suck otherwise because they are not as fun.
I use eufy. Little pricey up front but not too bad and works pretty seamlessly
Gary Larson: In my cartoon I invented Cow Tools as a cautionary tale
Cows: At long last, we have created the Cow Tools from classic newspaper comic Cow Tools
βWhy one small American town wonβt stop stoning its residents to death,β an AO3 fic in which Isaac Chotiner interviews the guy who runs the lottery in Shirley Jacksonβs βThe Lotteryβ, is astounding. archiveofourown.org/works/73396436

I do like that as a story hook but maybe not one to crack out with the family
How is Middara? I got a gift of it years ago and the tone the box seems to imply is putting me right off.
Prose is a GREAT gateway drug to real books (comics)
This is a great distillation of osr and well worth a read if you make games of any type.
A screen shot of TrueRef Flow, a timed gesture practice tool. It features a woman standing straight, with one hand up in a mage like gesture.
A screenshot of TrueRef Pose, a free pose library. It features several images of an athletic woman poses in a variety of different ways.
I have officially launched TrueRef's new timed gesture tool (Flow) & free pose library (Pose)! Both are linked on trueref.io.
While limited right now, both will contain our full free library by the 1st. π€

Didn't watch the show much but nothing resonates with my inattentive-type ADHD more than this clip from Malcolm in the Middle. youtu.be/5W4NFcamRhM?...
@louiestowell.bsky.social I know this is an annoying question when the most recent book just came out, but will the next one be next year? Stayed up late to finish Causing Chaos and the household is already theorising (read: baselessly deciding it's Ratatosk).

I always feel that witnessing players make decisions for emotional rather than tactical reasons is a sign that I'm on to something.
"Not everyone who goes into the cenote comes out of the cenote."
In the interest of balance, the BBC's next John le CarrΓ© adaptation will have a strong focus on animal facts.
Picross is the comparison i should have made here, but even the comparison feels like I'm underselling this game
Tametsi is an incredible study in puzzle design and it's on sale for less than a quid. It doesn't have the polish of Hexcells but if you are into logic games like Minesweeper or Sudoku variants you will not find better puzzles. Highest possible recommendation. store.steampowered.com/app/709920/T...

There's something in a series of escalating boss fights where you start battling the local panto dame, getting a degree closer to Bacon with every hard fought victory
Iβve said it before and Iβll say it again: speaking as an artist, whether you love my games or hate them, the most important thing is that you buy them for money
What an absolute hero
