The backside safety part I think is what really sparked the whole “progression vs half field reads”. The pressure element adds to it, but it’s clear that the quick decipher points for QBs are becoming grayer, and whenever you force them to pull back to get a read, it delays the post snap processing

Every mock draft I see has Caleb Downs around pick ~10 and honestly not sure what we’re doing here. Downs is going to fix so many issues for defenses and can pretty much do anything from deep safety to Ni to extra LB to traditional safety work. Should be in top 5
