Early morning on the flooded Somerset Levels near Langport today. Sorry for the video being a bit jumpy in places.
Following heavy rainfall in Dec '25 & Jan '26, parts of South #Somerset are still flooded in the Environment Agency's Winter Reservoirs. This is a view of #Muchelney in the foreground & #Langport in the background. Most of the heavy rain came in two storms, Ingrid on 24th Jan & Chandra on 27th Jan.
Still plenty of roads flooded in South #Somerset since Storm #Chandra flooded the area on January 27th. Here is the road out of #Muchelney Ham. Current water depth being ~30cms in places.

Wow, a warm sunny day here in South Somerset and the lovely clear sunset with a pitch of colour. After many days of grey skies this was such a delight. 😀

On Sunday, we arrived at @rspb.bsky.social Aylesbeare Common #Devon after what must have been an hour on torrential rain. The sun was now out and we came across these bedraggled ponies trying to dry off. Now steaming under the 'warmth' of the late afternoon sun and the rain water dripping off them.
The low winter sun creates amazing shadows. Combined with the current flooding in South #Somerset allowed for the creation of images such as these from a drone.
