I think it was on a commentary podcast where RDM said something like “you can’t hate Baltar.” My reaction was “Oh yes, I can!” I’m sure he was a fun character to write, but I loathed him.
A skein of handspun yarn. It was the August 2025 Melly Knits Blossom Sommelier. Art. A blend of 90% Debouillet/5% sari silk/5% mulberry silk, this aqua 2-ply is just shy of 274 yards of heavy sport/light DK weight
2 spinning projects in progress, both with spun singles. On the left is a wooden spinning wheel bobbin with a blend of cream and gold singles. This was hand combed wool I blended on a hackle—a mixture of of undyed Texel, some dyed Shetland (in pale blue, pink, and green, which isn’t really noticeable in this shot), white mulberry silk, and gilded muga silk. On the right is an espinner with Ebony undyed Haunui.

I remember there was a great thread on the Bad Place with freaky European folk costumes. A guy in a suit made of burrs, the Mari Lwyd, evil cow costumes, and lots of costumes incorporating straw.

Spinners, not Spinnets 😡
It’s West Yorkshire Spinnets ColourLab Sock DK, colorway “Rock.” It’s my first time making socks with DK weight yarn.
And done. We didn’t have contests for delegates (we were a bit short for both state senate district and city delegates) and only had 5 or 6 resolutions.
The start of a DK-weight sock. The yarn is variegated in shades of grey and red. It’s in blue metallic DPNs. I’ve cast on and knit one round in 2x2 ribbing.

Thanks for the advice (both of you). I did wash the plate and slow down the first layer (which is what got me to do 15). I think I’ll try using glue the next time I try for a full plate print.
After learning he got Chotinered, I looked up the interview. This exchange happened, and then another 2/3 of the interview happened. Same behavior, different medium.
Bless you (in a non-sarcastic way) for the grace you tried to extend to him. But yeah, that post was what set me off, too.
It was frustrating, but also funny in a “look how out of touch these strategists (NOT consultants!) are” way, but now it’s just sad. Sad that he’s crashing out like this, but even sadder that leadership will still listen to him.

That’s what I’ve been printing, but I have problems printing en masse. I’ve been able to do a batch of 15, but have adhesion problems and stray filament when trying to fill the plate. Any suggestions on settings tweaks for an A1 mini?

I’ve had some weird USPS package movements the past couple days. One of as initially tracking for delivery yesterday, made it as far as St. Paul, and now is in Philly. The other, initially tracking for delivery today, made it to MPLS before diverting to Sioux Falls.
Inauthentic my ass. Why I’ve been seeing you get dunked on so many times is b/c it’s popping up on a local feed of MSP accounts. Vs you, who couldn’t even get the party’s name correct in your original post. You must advise Gavin Newsom, b/c a fundraising text I got from him had the same problem.
