Been watching regular show with a good friend I like it quite a bit even as someone who didnt really grow up with it (a cableless recession child) Its been quite a fun ride so far. Margaret might be my fave because she is cute and its way too fun to see Mordecai simp for her and embarrass himself
This probably sounds too pessimistic or a me problem, but this is just how I have experienced and witnessed it. Despite all of this, I still do want to try doing it again, but I don't know where to start or how really.

I have a hard time even trusting casual arrangements between friends. the loose nature of these can be exploited too easy, leading to retroactive haggling and arguments which drains the fun and puts my friendships and trust at risk.

I also just don't often have the confidence or energy to pitch or articulate compatible ideas for comms or trades, negotiate issues, or constantly have to poke and prod for reminders and progress over months to years. Maybe I oughta try sticking with people I know? If only it were that easy.

Many artists seem to only ever open when I'm not looking, and/or they only open for or are willing to work with certain people, etc. Difficulty with getting a slot aside, I don't feel confident that I will get the result I want in anymore (or if I'll even get anything at all!) sometimes im picky

this isn't even just a "fandom cringe" thing or a 30s thing - rediscovery is a huge part of life once you have a meaningful sense of emancipation and autonomy, and a lot of people only find that in their 30s. it can be hard to pursue passions just for the love of it without time, money, and privacy
