Yeah, our then home church at the time sued the city and lost almost 100k from the social and health division of the city in a push to get back in person. One of the most disgusting and anti-Jesus things I'd ever seen. That was one of the final straws that helped us kick them to the curb.
We have since been able to find, good, genuine, inclusive community outside the church, and I'm so glad our kids will not have to grow up with all the baggage and church hurt we had, and that we can raise them in a much better, more caring and loving way.
We lost so much when we deconstructed, including what we thought was our community. The amount of hateful pushback from "Christians", many of whom we had known personally was wild to us. I am so glad we are out of what we now know was such a toxic environment.
For us it was Trump 1.0 and covid that fully brought the walls crashing down. The hypocrisy, uncaringness, and the changing of "values" on a whim to make sure they fit into what their view of the "correct" way to vote and believe solidified our decision to leave. We are in such a better space now.
I really want to try draw steel at some point, looks like an absolute blast!

Firefly was a wonderful product of its time, but I don't think coming back to it in any way now is going to work out well.
It's literally like picking up 15 years later from the season 8 finale. I don't know how they did it but my wife and I have definitely been getting in our feels about how incredible the continuation is.
The fact that is has coop now makes it that much more consuming too

Yeah I don't see the ai timeline ever going well but going through it with absolutely 0 laws or regulations on top of the most bribable admin ever, it's quite bad.
I hate that the AI timeline and this current administration timeline is happening at the same time because it's definitely making the AI timeline far far worse.

This will be catastrophically bad. Not only for consolidation of power, but for the mass layoffs, and the likely elimination of most of the good shows/movies, and semblance of any decent news reporting that's left.
What started as a meetup to learn and play the popular tabletop game Dungeons & Dragons has grown into a community of 2,500 people offering friendship, refuge and mutual aid as immigration enforcement ramps up in Minnesota.

I haven't tried that yet (though it seems intriguing), but I've always done max at level 1 as well as re-roll ones for health rolls which has worked out decently so far!
More HP and less AC definitely makes things more fun for players and roughly maintains balance so I am with you there!
