Today I presented a proclamation recognizing Amplify Austin Day. For 24 hours, our community is working to raise $10M for local nonprofits, including organizations like We Are Blood. After a hard weekend, itβs inspiring to see Austin come together. I live here. I give here.
Due to limited staffing, We Are Blood will need to cut off the line at 3 PM today. If you werenβt able to donate, you can still sign up to give tomorrow at a donor center: weareblood.org/donate-blood/
In the wake of this weekendβs tragedy on 6th Street, our community is coming together to support those impacted. Iβm hosting a blood drive at City Hall this Monday from 11 AM to 5 PM. If youβre able, please consider donating. Your generosity can help save lives. Learn more: weareblood.org
