Ouch, thatβs a sick burn, and very true.
Lake Light. Wicked winter nights in Chicago.
Iβm not even religious and I love the Chicago Pope.
The Bears should still be super proud, they tied it up with a fantastic throw to bring it into overtime.
I had the honor to introduce my replacement on 9NEWS
It is time to go reread this essay from @scalzi.com from last June. whatever.scalzi.com/2025/06/03/w...
U.S. billionaires got an astounding $1.5 TRILLION richer in the first year of Trump's second term.
Remember β this is happening as they get even more tax cuts in exchange for the social safety net being cut for everyone else.

Avoid the Elizabeth Line and GWR to/from Paddington electrical cables damaged or stolen and nothing running.
Minnesota has to come first - always.
Today, Iβm proud of the work weβve done to make Minnesota the best place to live and raise kids.
Iβve decided to step out of the race and let others worry about the election while I focus on the work.
AMERICANS DO NOT SUPPORT THIS ILLEGAL, UNPROVOKED, AND UNNECESSARY WAR.
Trump must be removed from office.
I donβt think Iβve ever consciously thought that on NYE. There are individual moments throughout the years that Iβve thought that, but not of an entire year.
But youβre staying at home, right?
Issa Rae has canceled her sold out performance at the Kennedy Center. Pulitzer Prize winner Rhiannon Giddens, Peter Wolf, Low Cut Connie, and the Gay Menβs Chorus of Washington, D.C., have also canceled. Lin-Manuel Miranda has canceled the entire Kennedy Center run of Hamilton.
A beautiful sunrise in #Pittsburgh this morning, as the sky caught fire directly behind the city for nearly 45 minutes. It was amazing to watch the scene develop from the West End Bridge, and this is one of my favorites.
There are ordinances for my city which doesnβt allow lights to be up for more than 30 days after a holiday. This is because there have been issues with people leaving lights up all year long.
Donald Trump retweeted a post from Rapid Response 47. His post says Big news for the USA! President DJT. The original post said Federal employment is now at the lowest level since 2014 -- down by 271,000 jobs since President Trump took office. Promises made, promises kept.
271,000 people have lost their jobs and federal spending has ctually increased. So people get less services, while we added debt paying for private jets for Kristi Noem, bulletproof cars for Kash Patel. This is what the rust belt voters demanded.
It's incredible how much of this stuff is just out in the open, but because Trump said "Russiagate hoax!" 5000 times, the media was brainwashed into treating it like a nothing story instead of one of a ten alarm scandal
Iβd be WAY TOO scared to screw something up to write it that way. I prefer to be exceedingly specific when copying files.
It could be taken either way, which is very unfortunate.
US citizens are being deported
Anyway, if you want to help families be able to afford to eat this holiday season and beyond, consider making a regular cash donation to your local food bank.
And if youβre in Chicago, bring by your spare winter gear, books, toiletries, and supplies! We could use them in our mutual aid shelves.
So youβre saying it Overloaded the steam servers? ππ

Florida citrus industry rebounds with new technology after years of decline Craig Patrick DUNDEE, Fla. - Citrus groves thriving after years of decline Florida's citrus industry is experiencing a revival after years of struggling with canker and citrus greening, a pest-borne disease that devastated orchards statewide. FOX 13's Craig Patrick reports. Florida's citrus industry is experiencing a revival after years of struggling with canker and citrus greening, a pest-borne disease that devastated orchards statewide. Dun-D Citrus Growers, a cooperative of local farmers, says trees are now thriving under CUPS β Citrus Under Protective Screen, a method that uses massive screened structures to exclude the Asian citrus psyllid that spreads greening.
Photo of citrus trees growing under a protective mesh structure "Per day, we're packaging more than a million pieces of fruit," said Steven Callaham, the CEO of Dun-D Citrus Growers. "In 10 years from now, you're gonna start seeing volume double." The protective structures not only prevent disease but also diffuse sunlight, helping trees grow faster and produce higher yields. Density has increased to over 300 trees per acre β double the traditional method. What they're saying: "We see this great fruit coming through our packing house and going out to our customers, and we would not be able to do it without CUPS," said Jennifer Schaal, CFO of Dun-D Citrus Growers.
Photo: a man picking large yellow citrus fruit from green, leafy trees "We are building screen structures, then planting clean, healthy citrus trees inside of them. If you don't have the disease, then you can go back to how you were growing citrus 30, 40 years ago," Callahamn said. "Even with hurricane damage, even with the large capital expense of making repairs, the numbers still work." READ: Florida citrus production reaches lowest point in more than 100 years Big picture view: Florida citrus is moving from crisis to growth. New technology, scientific research, and legislative backing are combining to create a modern, resilient citrus industry capable of producing high yields while mitigating the historical threats of disease and pests. The industry will monitor yields, market demand, and environmental factors, including hurricanes and future disease pressures, to determine the long-term viability of the CUPS model. Is there any evidence to support this? I donβt think there is any peer reviewed data showing that it is the case.
