this all got started because some people are mad that we are doing a "history of zionism" class this term and our instructor has done a phd at an israeli university. we've just done the first session so i'm sure i'll have more thoughts on the topic by the end.
no worries. he does seem like a very annoying person, though this was my first encounter and i muted quickly.
Happy to share that my article βJewish Economic Theologyβ has been published by the St. Andrews Encyclopedia of Theology.
Itβs basically the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, but for theology. Free to use. Open access. Check it out: www.saet.ac.uk/Judaism/Jewi...
Here are a few basics of the piece:
1) Jewish thought about economic matters is not traditionally written under an "economic" heading, because that heading is modern; it is instead completely mixed together with thought about other things (God, politics, family). It may not advertise "economic"ness
i don't really want to relitigate this on this terrible website, but that's not *quite* an accurate representation of what I'm saying. I'm saying it's difficult to say that zionism *isn't* judaism because they *do* have textual support for what they do, not that *I* think that's "real judaism"
thanks for the context

So they turned to this Navajo PFC we had found on base and pulled in, they explained why they didn't want to talk, and said they thought it would be best if she spoke. And this boot looked at this O-6 and O-5 and said totally deadpan "Gentlemen, I have some bad news for you about the Navajo."

well there aren't that many non accredited schools that have curricula equivalent to a humanities phd program. there are a few other online schools similar to ours but they dont have the kind of focused research project we have nor any physical presence

because the biggest obstacle to living an intellectual life is the cost of rent. so if i can subsidize student/faculty housing they can save that money and have more time to study
