One of my biggest worries about "Women of Xal II" is not the scope or the ability to complete it. It's not even if people will think I wrote women horribly.
It's worry that people will expect patterns from other stories, and not listen to what characters are saying. What they're deliberately not.
And we're actively working on the sequel!
Can't even raise a brow. I thought of at least two toxic yuri ships from WoX that would better off be called Cursed Yuri.
The two artists were put on "Make the vital spoiler assets for WoXII" before I realized that I needed to have visual content so ya'll know that we're working on the game. Y'know, promotional images, teasers! Screenshots that aren't tremendous lore and gameplay spoilers!

2D animators can slide in, too. But it'll be WAY longer before I can adequately afford ya'll for long-term animations and full-on cutscenes. Even with my usual (ethical!) methods of mitigating costs like rev-shares and what have you. 3D is expensive too, but reusing a model is the saving grace there

Not coming from a place of ethics, either: I will try to bring costs down with zeal! I'll simplify work, only allow so many hours, sacrifice polish, cut scenes, offer Rev share, slither Kickstarter gambles, ect. So if a RETAIL worker is willing to commission test samples, your clients should too!
As a money-hoarding dev where every penny counts to creating a stellar project, I refuse to allow animators to offer free animated test samples. And I would be wary of devs that don't discourage you from spec work.

Recall in WoXI when you had to figure out how to unlock The True Ending and I let more than half of you suffer with only The Warning Ending as your takeaway? Well Women of Xal II will have easier choices that don't require you to have keen understanding of your choices and timelines! ^ -^ ^ -^ ^ -^
So many were interested in voicing for Women of Xal II! Which is awesome and reassuring to behold.
That said, our already finished Kickstarter would need to go viral and raise the additional $25k via late pledges to reach that stretch goal. So I guess weather excitement or find your rich aunt. Lol
Not that I'm salty about how the visual novel space has treated our team and the "Women of Xal" series or anything, BUT....
We are most certainly going to leave the space behind with Simone Biles being an inspiration on how to make an exit.

I'm going to send the artist of Women of Xal II (Ssam_Reptile) all the positive comments left here and in reblogs. Because without him working for months on end and gambling on the Kickstarter, we literally would not have been able to make it or even the demo.
