Maxx Crosby is a fine player, but nobody seems capable of acknowledging that Crosby is a worn-down, injured player reaching the end of his peak AND that he's an undisciplined, stat-chasing player who has been allowed to freelance on an awful team. He's not that valuable.

Why in the WORLD would the Eagles ever trade AJ Brown and a 1st for Maxx Crosby, @bandit.football?

I reiterate: There are high schools in my local school district that had to cut BAND because of budget deficits. They have a HIRING FREEZE FOR TEACHERS because they don't think the federal government is going to provide funding. But we can burn $11.3 BILLION in ONE WEEK on war, apparently.

My local school district is facing a $50 million budget deficit because they don't know what, if any, funding they'll get from the federal government. At least one high school lost their marching band.

Ravens have to pay a premium for AJ Brown now to compensate for the bad press.

Happy to have Riq Woolen, but I don't think a one-year deal precludes the Eagles from drafting a CB early.

Justice Department publishes some missing Epstein files related to Trump The Justice Department has published additional Epstein files related to allegations that President Trump sexually abused a minor after an NPR investigation found dozens of pages were withheld.

4 days ago, NPR reported that the Trump administration is still withholding, in violation of the Epstein files statutes, 37 pages of documents that implicate him in the rape of a child. This should end his presidency. www.npr.org/2026/03/05/n...

I was hoping Howie could work some magic with Blankenship. It's really frustrating that so many high-priced, underperforming offensive pieces (Dickerson, Jurgens, Brown, Hurts, Barkley) are preventing the Eagles from keeping valuable defensive pieces (Williams, Phillips, Reed, Nakobe, etc.).

10.03.2026 06:14 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

It's absurd. I genuinely wonder if the Eagles are going to set a compensatory pick record. The number of picks from last year's losses, this year's losses, and next year's losses (Ojomo, Hunt, Smith) speaks to the absurd quality of the 2024 roster. That was an all-time team.

10.03.2026 04:53 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

I'd be stunned if Brisker was cheaper than Blankenship.

I know the Eagles have limited cap space, but they are going to feel the losses of Nakobe Dean and Reed Blankenship. Not only did Dean and Blankenship bring a physical edge to the defense, but they were also the brains of the operation. I bet replacing them is more difficult than we expect.

Mojtaba Khamenei, a son of Iran's late supreme leader, is chosen to replace his father A secretive figure within the Islamic Republic, Mojtaba Khamenei was not seen publicly in the days after an Israeli airstrike targeting the supreme leader’s offices killed his 86-year-old father atΒ th...

It is reported that Iran selected Mojtaba Khamenei in part because Trump said in an interview that he was "unacceptable" to Trump.

So Trump has ensured the person running Iran is *more* theocratic and hates the US for killing his wife and father. Well done, Donald!

I've been genuinely impressed by Davis as a person. I think he has shown himself to be thoughtful, selfless, and well-adjusted. I also really admire that he seems to have a sense of joy and cheerfulness that people benefit from being around. I've really enjoyed seeing more of his personality.

We are dealing with Nazis, again. The Nazi ideology pops up again and again throughout history: the confederacy, Haiti, the internment camps, the Indian boarding schools, the Indian reservations, Gaza, etc., etc., bc it is the logical end of the capitalist ideology. It will ALWAYS produce camps.

All of which is to say that when the Trumpers talk about non-white immigrants, the "misguided" (to quote Mike Johnson) Muslim faith, a holy war against Iran, children in the workforce, the enemy within, the social safety net, and an AI-future with no white-collar jobs, YOUR HAIR SHOULD BE ON FIRE.

There's a reason why the gates of the most notorious concentration camps said "Arbeit macht frei," which means "Work Will Set You Free." The concentration camps were about race-based, faith-based, and ideology-based extermination, but they were also about slavery and the extraction of forced labor.

Holocaust victims were imprisoned on the basis of their race and religion, as we know; the religious and bigoted rhetoric of MAGA strikes that familiar chord. But Nazi Germany was also a hyper-capitalist, punitive police state that criminalized vagrancy and overpunished petty criminals.

07.03.2026 22:03 πŸ‘ 3 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

If you do the slightest bit of research into the Holocaust and the basis on which the camps were constructed, the hair on the back of your neck should stand up. The political rhetoric of Trump Republicans is in LOCKSTEP with that of the Nazis. We live in dark, scary times.

07.03.2026 21:57 πŸ‘ 6 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

These are concentration camps. Don't think that these aren't concentration camps simply because there aren't gas chambers. The Nazis began to build and operate camps in 1933, but it wasn't until 1939 that they began gassing their prisoners. This is the path we're on.

Still, I think Carter's the type of talent that you move mountains to appease, and if I were an opposing GM, I'd be WAY more inclined to spend a bag on Carter than Maxx Crosby, for example. I'd really, really hate to trade him, regardless of the return.
