Perhaps they hate the USA because it orchestrated a coup that overthrew a democratically elected leader. Then supported the Shah's authoritarian rule. USA then went on to support Iraq in the Iran-Iraq war. Its not difficult to see why they don't trust USA and dislike what they did to their country.
