That unit failed about an hour later ๐
There are struggles with capacity across the north, would be robbing Peter to pay Paul with the current rolling stock available so someone elsewhere would be short changed. Itโs not a bad thing that itโs so popular. Should be the flagship for any such future projects ๐ค๐ป
I work on it and have to say I think it was a huge own goal not putting the knitting up. Gives very limited options (currently) for making much needed increases to capacity
Yet I kept a charity registered cricket club afloat as chair & licensee which certainly doesnโt run on fresh air, as well as doing two jobs to keep my head above water and scum like these cream off the top and then have the cheek to cry foul with no consequences. Vile
I have to agree
๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ - being unashamedly racist would appear to be right up there ๐ก
Iโd say youโre being lippy as opposed to cheekyโฆ.
Itโs called coastline. Cracking ice cream place next door too ๐ฎโ๐จ
East tick Newsham and Bebside off as of Sunday. Walk along to south beach from Newsham, the chip shop is a belter ๐
Havenโt noticed that. When I was doing the weekly commute to Leeds I used to plug mine in for the duration and it would have less charge than when Iโd plugged it in at Newcastle when I got there. Felt like I was powering the train, not it powering me
25kv overhead yet you get about 1/25000th of a volt charging power ๐
Great video and fantastic summary at the end โค๏ธโค๏ธ
All kinds of hidden treasures in there, would recommend a visit!
Saw a pair of 56s today on RHTT duty. Sadly I was working and heading the opposite way ๐
Saltburn if Iโm not mistaken, lovely little place
Could be a barbers or vape shop in no timeโฆ.
Thereโs one due up to Newcastle later on. Thereโs also one showing itโs going to Liverpool and Hull and that it splits at Man Vic but was showing as a single 80x unit. Unless itโs changed since this morning thatโll take some doing!
You must have been at Shildon when I was today. You walked under the bridge when I was up getting a view of the rail tour heading back to Darlington but wasnโt sure if it was you or not
Nice little day out at Locomotion for the 200th birthday with a couple of colleagues. Some old, some new and some current stuff as well as a rail tour up to Stanhope and back from Carnforth
Anti-racist demonstrators blocking Tommy Robinsonโs fascists from marching through the centre of Newcastle - successfully so far
But being kettled and apparently the police are agreeing an alternative route for the far right

The extremely rare sight of a Class 37 at NCL as it changes crew while running 2Z03 Glasgow Central to York Holgate.
The lesser spotted spare today so a few steps in round toon. The Stephenson monument on Neville St, very prominent given the 200th birthday of the railway as we know it is this Saturday, just across from the listed building of NCL Central. Likely be packed with Bradford fans in a few hours too!
Donโt know why TOC apps wonโt just do cheapest fares to start with. The amount of people who think they have to alight at the split point and then end up on wrong trains with adv tix is crackers. Also when they split and part is anytime and part advance and folk end up on wrong train then too ๐คฏ
Just caught a passing glimpse of Royal Scots Grey 50022 passing at Dunston this morning as I was on my way into work. Fabulous bit of kit looking resplendent. On its way back to Crewe after spending the weekend at Heaton for the depot open day
By the time trainline add their booking fee, it usually ends up being more than what the saving was with ridiculously confusing split tickets ๐คทโโ๏ธ
