Say what you will but the man knows how to throw a party.
Some day I have to stop being depressed, or they need to invent self-folding laundry.
Such a great job making me love a character that, on paper, I want to hate.
Soundtrack was top notch.
I don't even care for table tennis.
Poster for Marty Supreme
Incredible performances. Loved it.
Two books: Chain-Gang All-Stars and The Power Broker
Finished one, starting the other. Guessing my way through my project's Appendix N.
Will 2026 be the year I run a tabletop campaign that isn't just a vehicle for goofy bits?
One Battle After Another is amazing. The Warriors is my favorite of this list though (despite the version I watched had comic book transitions which I didn't love)
Movie day:
-Ratcatcher (my heart hurts)
-The Warriors (am I too old to join a gang??)
-Licorice Pizza (In progress)
-One Battle After Another (on deck)
Watching movies in one sitting is a luxury I rarely find time for. Time to make hay!
English Lit and The Writing Seminars (my school's Creative Writing program)
"De Junk" debunk

My Inner Monologue Wrapped, 2025:
Typecast answer, but VERY fun playing a physical/magic hybrid in Avowed
This year was full of great games. At the 11th hour I've discovered Dispatch is my personal GOAT (2025).
Such a blast.
Glad to read, but if ever a post begged for a smash cut...
Having folks over tomorrow to play Arkham Horror (2E, ow my nostalgia!).
It is only fitting that my attempt at making macarons resulted in formless monstrosities.
Regarding the amount of nickels I would have for each post a game writer made re: hating on stub dialogue:
(Did something happen???)
I beat Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Super fun but as an old man my hands are now withered, fingerless stumps.
Hath man's kiwi-ch exceeded his kiw-rasp?
Normally I wait until I finish reading to post a bit about the book I'm reading but this moment was too fucking good.
The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. Not exactly an undiscovered gem but amazing to read.
I am not a proud man by nature but sometimes I'm just really satisfied with a dumb joke I made weeks ago and I take time to revisit it.
Sons: "Dad, what can we do on this 2-hour car ride?"
Me: "TRY TO SURVIVE"
The Devils by Joe Abercrombie
Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie
When Gravity Fails, George Alec Effinger
Been derelict in my reading reports.
-The Devils, Joe Abercrombie. I liked it well enough by the end, but I found the dialogue too quippy for my taste.
-Ancillary Justice, Ann Leckie. Man, it took me a while to get going but once I did I could not stop.
-When Gravity Fails, George Effinger. Ehh.
Incredible
Did we cut the eggs? ๐ญ
The armmmmmmmmmmmmm
Ai does suck
I think about it all the time :(
How's it compare to the previous two? I liked the first quite a bit but I struggled a bit with the second one.
