I’m such a lightweight.
I’m such a lightweight.
Yes, I think I’m doomed.
Our clinic seems very old school with all this.
Rants about fiscal responsibility. Where does the $ come from? A 1.3 MILLION contingency construction budget.
I’m all for responsible spending but it’s a worthwhile change order that could be used for many things. Also much easier to set in concrete during construction than pay more to add later.
I just sat through a city council meeting where they debated for like 20 mins whether it was prudent to spend $10k installing anchoring hooks into the concrete of a new plaza being built so someday they could put up a Christmas tree.
Good. Times.
I dunno. I’ve watched my husband go through it and he’s as stoic as they come.
Next up I have to do the colonoscopy which I am genuinely nervous about because of the horrible prep.
True, true.
Maybe that’s it.
Yeah, it was just a routine thing. And it wasn’t that bad! I just left feeling weirdly glum.
Why did getting a mammogram just totally bum me out? Very unexpected reaction.
Amazing.
Good times!!
Nope. Oddly enough it rhymes with Benton.
I have a big reclad project going in Deadmond and they have been surprisingly easy to work with. My least favorite city is also the name of Costco generics.
This is also the same city that made my client give up the front 5’ of their property (for free!) for a right of way they will probably never expand - and yes that did affect setbacks. 🙄
I understand not wanting large mature trees cut down, but demanding new ones is ridiculous.
This city also mandates specific building materials for siding AND demanded to know what color the house was being painted to approve it.
I have never encountered this w/any other jurisdiction.
So here’s how it works: mature trees over 50’ get you 2 credits, 30-50 get you 1 credit, under 30’ gets you .25 credits. So yes, but you’d need A LOT of dwarf trees. We have to meet 5 credits. Also, this is on a hill going down towards a major lake so if client plants tall trees, they block views.
I have not a single libertarian-leaning bone in my body, but dealing with this jurisdiction makes me rage about over-regulation.
There's also a tree credit system. 7100sf lot w/currently 0 trees must plant either 3 +50' trees, 5 30-50' trees, 20 -/=30' trees or a combo to meet reqs. No idea how to get 1 +50' tree on lot & 30-50' trees are a stretch. Does the owner just not get a yard? Forest instead?
"At least one (1) of the following architectural details shall be provided on each home: dormers, shutters, knee braces, flower boxes, or columns per RMC 4-2-115. Refer to code for more information."
Seriously? What if this doesn't work architecturally? How many people truly keep up flower boxes?
I just got plan review comments back from what is quickly becoming my least favorite jurisdiction and this is an insane thing for a city to require because - as I have found myself saying frequently lately - a city is not an HOA.
We really do live in the dumbest timeline.
Also, does he buy the women shoes? I shudder to think…
What?? Why?? Also, $86k makes me cry.
I am so in love with their new electric bus and love every single wild color it comes in.
I’m a dark gray car person, always have been. I know it’s boring, I just love it.

Somebody got some inspiration from Cars 2. 😂😂🤦🏼♀️
He is now supervising the cutting of chicken for dinner.
Oh for sure. It’s hard not to when you have an 18yo son. N has a good friend who graduated last year and joined the army and he worries every day that his friend will get sent over there.
