2 months ago today I was memeing in a discord server and jokingly said I'd make a shitpost game where you touch grass for the gameplay

I did have a Wikipedia for grass in the computer but I really liked the idea of having a museum to display the grass you have touched instead. Definitely don't regret this pivot 😄

I work in linux (debian) daily but still drive and develop mostly on windows

Step through your code line by line with the debugger :) you will find it!

Building games isn't easy, and there's a lot to learn!

Most importantly, have fun!

Giving up is (at least for me) a result of
- striving for needless perfection
- not actually understanding what you are doing and becoming frustrated from it
- overscoping

Understand why you are giving up and use that as a means to understand what you are lacking

Try not to learn everything at once and overwhelm yourself. Learning is a thing that is supposed to take time, and your also supposed to fail.
