I am currently working on a blog post to explain more about what this release means, what this even is exactly (to those who are initiated), etc.! Expect that to be delivered in the coming days.
This means that: Yes, there are some minor construction sites still :construction:. But: The core logic of how federation, identification, cross-server authentication, migration and other -ations work is very stable and unlikely to be changed.
I feel like we are 90% of the way there to a full release. The last 10% will likely be missing APIs that are needed for a better user- and developer experience, and other things that we'll find out, now that we will actually build stuff using the protocol.
Today marks an important day for me and the polyproto protocol: I am releasing the **first beta version** of the protocol specification! ❤️
