Been ages since I’ve been out with the camera hence being quiet on here, so although I didn’t get the light I was hoping for was nice to be out yesterday making an image

Intended to focus stack but liked this single image instead
Thanks Lawrence
A collection of beech trees catching first light with a carpet of bluebells
Just a collection of trees bathing in first light
Then the light came. Rounded off a lovely morning in the bluebells

That’s beautiful James
Thanks Scott, much appreciated
Bit of a cliche shot I know, but I rarely shoot bluebells and conditions were almost perfect!
That’s a wonderful portrait Sarah
Thanks Tom. It was definitely a peaceful morning - no other photographers at all!!
A collection of silver birch trees backlit with some lovely soft early morning light coming through the mist
No matter how many times I visit this place there are always new shots to be taken. That’s why I love woodland photography. Conditions at the weekend were beautiful

A couple of thin young silver birch standing out against the misty background
Just a bunch of youths hanging out!
That is beautiful Sarah
Thanks Peter
The light, when it came, was lovely. I was very surprised when I turned up at 6am to see no other cars!
Thanks!
Silver Birch catching the first light on a misty morning. Branches resembling someone sweeping the floor

Beautiful shot that Grant
It certainly is Sarah. Holme Fen is now part of an area that’s received lottery funding to invest in extended wet farming to protect the peatland and areas of Sphagnum planted to help
Hair cap moss surrounding a birch root topped with Sphagnum moss. The hair cap moss looking like shiny stars
I’m so used to looking at the trees, I am clearly overlooking the little scenes at my feet! This wonderfully photogenic haircap moss, along with sphagnum and a birch root caught my eye!

Early morning mist on the mere at Holme Fen, no colour just contrast
Been out of sorts for the last few weeks and not been out with the camera. Hoping that will change soon. In the meantime, here’s one from last year I like
